Custom Connect, a global integrator of high-performance network solutions, today announced the delivery of bespoke Ethernet connectivity to arvato Systems, an international systems integrator within the arvato group, the outsourcing service provider of Bertelsmann AG. It concerns a dedicated Gigabit Wavelength connection between Frankfurt and Amsterdam.

Custom Connect designed and delivered a connection enabling arvato Systems to expand its infrastructure business to international customers from its new data center location in Amsterdam.

arvato Systems selected Custom Connect to deliver this connectivity solution for the following reasons:

Custom Connect excelled in reactiveness and agility. Custom Connect designed a bespoke solution together with one of their network architects specialized in long-haul connectivity. The combination of in-depth market knowledge and a carrier-neutral approach allowed Custom Connect to come up with a solution tailored to arvato Systems’ requirements.

“Sourcing connectivity from carriers that own the physical infrastructure together with wholesale conditions and a lean & mean organization allow Custom Connect to design, deliver and support the most efficient solution”, commented Olav van Doorn, Executive Director at Custom Connect.

By safeguarding and accompanying arvato Systems with a dedicated project manager, fewer resources were required at arvato Systems during the implementation and handover of the service.

“Since Custom Connect has many years of experience within the telecommunications sector, they knew exactly how to manage the project within the expected lead time, resulting in a flawless delivery”, commented Thomas Chlebowski, Vice President Operations at arvato Systems.

The bespoke solution Custom Connect designed and delivered enables arvato Systems to develop its IT services abroad. Custom Connect’s 24×7 support ensures arvato Systems that all support questions are processed instantly and solved within strict SLA timeframes. This dedicated support service saves arvato Systems precious time and resources during all potential incidents. A single point-of-contact together with a customer portal give arvato Systems a real-time overview of its status on service incidents, invoices and contractual information.

“The new Data Center Location in Amsterdam is strategically important to us. With Custom Connect, we found a reliable and flexible service provider delivering the efficient connectivity solution we needed”, commented Thomas Chlebowski, Vice President Operations at arvato Systems.
